Spring Breakaway: 5 cycling routes from Camping La Llosa to discover Cambrils

April is the month of awakening: the days are longer, the temperature on the Costa Daurada is ideal (neither too cold nor too hot), and the landscape is in full bloom. It is the perfect time to park the car and forget about your keys.

At Camping La Llosa, you aren’t just near the sea; you are at the heart of the best cycling routes in Tarragona. Ready to ride? Here are 5 suggestions for all levels.

1. The Classic: Promenade to Salou (Easy)

Ideal for those seeking total relaxation without the effort. Leaving the campsite, you’ll connect directly with the bike path that runs along the entire coast.

  • The Route: Over 9 km of flat bike path that allows you to reach Cambrils Harbor in less than 5 minutes and continue to Cap Sant Pere or even La Pineda.

  • Don't Miss: The Mediterranean views and the mandatory stops for an artisanal ice cream at the harbor.

2. The Oil and Agricultural Landscape Route (Easy/Medium)

If you prefer the scent of the countryside, this 14 km route is a springtime marvel. It starts from the Molí de les Tres Eres and takes you deep into the most authentic side of Cambrils.

  • The Scenery: You’ll pedal among olive groves and orchards, discovering why our olive oil is world-famous. It’s a peaceful route, far from the hustle and bustle, perfect for reconnecting with nature.

3. The Pre-Modernist Route: History on Wheels (Medium)

A circular route of about 17 km that combines sport and culture. It’s ideal for those who want to discover the hidden heritage of the area without straying too far from base.

  • Fun Fact: You’ll pass through rural paths offering surprising panoramic views of the coastline from the inland.

4. The Escornalbou Challenge (Expert)

For cyclists arriving in full gear and ready to clock up the miles, the surroundings of Cambrils offer high-altitude challenges. The route to Escornalbou Castle (approx. 86 km round trip with variations) is a must-do.

  • The Reward: A forested landscape and views that, on clear days, reach as far as the Ebro Delta.

5. The Mountain Passes: Coll de la Teixeta (Expert)

If you’re looking for elevation, this 65 km route will take you through two mountain passes. It is a favorite among professional cyclists training in our area due to the high-quality asphalt and low traffic.
